Wallace defeated Marion Military Institute 82-79 in the first round of the ACCC Division I Basketball Tournament in Hanceville.

A Michael Acoff field goal put the Patriots ahead 79-77 with 57 seconds left, and Darrell Mayberry and Chris Walker free throws extended the lead to 81-77. A Langston Williams jump shot cut it to 81-79 with 15 seconds left. A Brandon Barlow free throw pushed the lead to its final margin, and a Chris Walker steal secured the win.

Walker led the Patriots with 35 points, and Acoff finished with 19.

The Patriots earned the win in the first game of their first postseason appearance since 2002.
