Her passion for conducting research for the area Baptist Association, Judson Alumni, and members of the community to provide a greater depth of knowledge about the community she worked in will be deeply missed. She was skilled at puzzles and sudoku, and loved sharing stories about her ancestors with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Eleanor was preceded in death by her husband, Walton Avery Drake, her son, Walton Avery Drake Jr. (Buddy), and her brother, William Leigh Compton. She is survived by her daughter, Beth Leigh Drake, her son, William Earl Drake, and her sister, Claudia Belle Holloway.
