Dallas County 11-12-year-old All-Stars headed to World Series

The Dallas County 11-12-year-old All-Star Baseball team will play in the World Series this weekend.
The Dallas County Sheriff Office gave the team an escort to the County line. Members of the Dallas County Commission are accompanying the team to the Magnolia State.
Opening ceremonies were held on Friday in Laurel, Mississippi. The team plays on Saturday at 2:30 p.m.
The All-Stars became the first 11-12-year-old team to win a state championship from Dallas County.
They were recognized at the Dallas County Commission meeting last month at the Dallas County Courthouse and praised for their determination and work ethic.
Omari Smith, Qmarion Pernell, Venetris Eaton, Rhett Thomas, Alexander Johnson, Jack Cobb, Travis Jones, Thomas Clay Atchison, Taylon Sigler, Clifton Smith, Ryall King and Wallis Gilmore are the players.
Lyn Britt is the manager, Tommy Atchison and Kay Jones are the coaches.
The All-Stars went 4-1 and advanced to the World Series.
