Dallas County basketball was recognized by the Alabama Sportswriters Association (ASWA). Five players made the All-State team.

Southside’s backcourt duo of Chris Thomas and Tae Spears made second team and honorable mention, respectively in Class 3A boys. Spears was honorable mention last year. The seniors both made the All-state football team.

Keith sophomore guard Tommy Tisdale III made All-state for the second straight year, going from honorable mention to second team in 1A.

Morgan Academy guard Bailey Brown made the AISA All-State team for the second straight year.  Selma High guard Alexias Walker made the 5A girls team.

As a voter on the ASWA All-state teams, it is our pleasure to honor our talented basketball players in Dallas County. They deserve the applause and recognition.
