outhside’s top two students were rewarded for their dedication and hard work.

Valedictorian Makenzi Woods and Salutatorian Aaron Acoff led Southside’s Class of 2022 on the field at Panther Stadium on Monday night.

“Being the Valedictorian at Southside is an honor and I worked really hard for it,” said Woods, who will major in Computer Science at Alabama A&M University.

Acoff, who will major in Electrical Engineering at South Alabama, said several people helped him graduate with honors.

“It’s an honor being the class Salutatorian,” Acoff said. “This showed how hard I worked.”

Joining Woods and Acoff in Southside’s Top 10 seniors are: Fantasia Andrews, Taliyah Bell, Ahlanna Callen, Mikhia Lindsey, Shamiyah Mason, Barrian Moorer, Rodderrick Powell and Nicholas Bailey.
