Commercial Vehicle fire caused closure on Highway 22, lanes now open

Both lanes of Alabama Highway 22 in Dallas County were closed several hours Tuesday because of a commercial vehicle fire.
The two lanes of Alabama 22 near the 30 mile marker, in Dallas County were blocked for an undetermined amount of time.
The Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) was on scene diverting traffic onto Dallas County 81 . Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s Highway Patrol Division are on scene investigating and will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates accordingly.
According to ALEA Corporal Reginal M. King, the lanes are now open. The lanes opened Tuesday after 1 p.m.
