The Selma Housing Authority held its annual holiday toy drive on Thursday.
The SHA provided toys to residents in GWC, Rangedale, Valley Creek, and Felix Heights housing communities.
Several local sponsors donated to the toy drive: AAA Transportation, Al Blackmon, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Zeta Eta Omega Chapter Mentoring Groups, Culturama and Jewels, Sandra Williams and Cheryl Randolph, Sponsors, Allen Construction Company, Dontae Allen,
George and Jeannie Evans, International Paper Company, USW Local 1441, Buba Drammeh, President, Evelyn Calhoun, Vice-President, Debra Clay, Vice-President, Lewis Brothers Funeral Home, Brett Larkin, General Manager, Selma/Dallas County Retired Teachers Association, Jeanie Ward, President, Brenda Obomanu, Community Service Committee Chairperson and SHA Authority Staff.
“Community collaboration allows the housing authority to fulfill its mission of expressing compassion and attending to the needs of our residents. We are beyond grateful for all the support and collaboration from each community partner,” SHA CEO Kennard Randolph said.
