DAR Good Citizenship program honors three local students

Three high school students in Selma and Dallas County were honored by the DAR Good citizenship Program.
Amyrrean Ovetta Acoff of Selma High, Amy Smitherman of Meadowview Christian School and Morgan Academy’s Allen Michael Creech were honored by the William Rufus King Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution The students were awarded a certificate, a good citizenship pin, and a small gift from the chapter.
This is a scholarship program intended to encourage and reward the qualities of good citizenship. The program is open to ALL senior class students in the Selma/Dallas County area. The schools select one senior student to represent them in this contest. The student must demonstrate Dependability, Service, Leadership, and Patriotism. Each student should be loyal, courteous, devoted to the U.S., support veterans and strive to make the community stronger.
