Selma citizens ignored the heavy rain to enjoy food, live music, and fireworks.

The concert was part of the Levitt AMP Selma Music Series. The featured performance was Jeremy Flyy and Flight Control who kept the audience moving and having fun despite rain. Several vendors took part in the fun, dancing and smiling while preparing food and drinks for the audience. Vendors included Thirsty Flavors, Sweet Advantages, Rojo’s Seafood, Gab-N-Grab Food Truck, The Lemonade Lady, YNOT Food Truck, and Tisdale’s Backyard BBQ.

The presenting sponsor of the series was Rural Health Medical Programs. There were several other sponsors who helped make this event possible on Sunday night.

Around 9 p.m., fireworks lit up the sky as Flyy and his band sang on into the night.

A familiar face to Selma attended and had fun like everyone else.

“It was an amazing night! I’m so very proud of Lydia, Danielle, and the entire team who put this incredible show together,” Drug-Free Communities of Dallas County Executive Director Jerria Martin said. “It was a safe, fun, and entertaining experience. There was something for every age to enjoy. A great night for Selma!”

After the event last night, Selma got a shout-out on social media from Levitt AMP Selma Music Series.
