Riot breaks out at central regional between Valley, Carver

MONTGOMERY — Times-Journal Sports Editor Barrett Welch is covering a fight involving players and fans during the Carver-Valley boys’ matchup at Alabama State University.
The fighting has halted play during the Central Alabama Regional Tournament, and tournament officials are discussing whether to continue games.
Carver led 52-37 with 6:38 left in the game.
