Dallas County Sheriff Mike Granthum is an officer in the Alabama Sherriffs Association.

Granthum is the District 5 Director. The two-term Sheriff said he appreciates getting picked for the position. “I’m honored and I’m thankful,”  Granthum said.

The Alabama Sheriffs Association 3R Rodeo Company, will present the First Annual Alabama Sheriffs  Association Pro PCA Rodeo on May 9-11, 2024, at the National Peanut  Festival Fairgrounds in Dothan.

Grantham and the other 66 Sheriffs in the state will participate in the event next spring. Houston County Sheriff Donald Valenza,  2024 incoming President of the association, will be the host Sheriff for the rodeo.

Proceeds will go to The Alabama Sheriffs Foundation and The Alabama Sheriffs Youth Ranches.
