The Gamma Alpha Alpha Zeta chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. has established a scholarship at Selma University-the Dallas County Zeta Emergency Scholarship, to provide assistance to students when unforeseen life events occur.

Dr. Constance Hendricks, Anita Wood, Dr. Denisha Hendricks, Dr. Ellen Buckner, Dr. Shelicia Ford, Dr. Barbara Wilder, Dr. Irish Spencer, Greta Abernathy, Jeanette Cadell, Karen Bailey, Lynda Lowery and Shelly McGee are all members in the GAAZ chapter.

Hendricks said she was inspired by her grandfather and attending Concordia College, to create the opportunity for awarding the scholarships.
