Snow’s Cleaning Service donated countless boxes to the Selma Police Athletic League earlier this month.
LeMarkus A. Snow, owner of the cleaning service, donated 10 cases of 40-count fruit juices, 150 bags of potato chips and cases of bottled water to Selma PAL, which Selma Police Department (SPD) Detective Dorothy Cowan runs to support local youths.
Cowan said she’s always grateful for the things Snow donates, generosity which helps Selma PAL host events like the SPD’s annual Christmas Toy Giveaway in December.
“Lemarkus Snow has always been one of biggest supporters,” Cowan said. “He donates to us three to four times a year because he cares about our program and the future of our community.”
Snow added her efforts are all about investing in the youth because they represent the future of Selma and Dallas County.
“I’ve grown to support the Police Athletic League over the last three years with basketballs, snacks, juices, Gatorades and water,” Snow said.
Snow also praised Cowan, who’s run the PAL for over 10 years.
“Detective Dorothy Cowan runs this program and doing a wonderful job,” Snow said. “She creates a safe haven for the youth with after school and summer programs. She heads a well-disciplined and mannered facility. They have basketball tournaments for summer league teams. She has a community garden and all kinds of recreation for the youth. She rocks for Selma and the youth.’’
