Selma Team Outreach Ministry and Prayer (S.T.O.M.P) will host its 12th Annual Praise and Unity Celebration on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Phoenix Park.
The event’s theme is, “Unity in the Community.”
“With the help of others, there is power when we work together. Unity with others enables us to broadcast God’s greatness,” said S.T.O.M.P Founder Annie Towns.
Selma Mayor James Perkins Jr. proclaimed Oct. 7 as a Citywide Day of Prayer led by S.T.O.M.P.
“Prayer is always in order for prayer can go where we cannot go and prayer can do what we cannot do,” Perkins said. “Come let us pray together”
Eric Dawson, a member of S.T.O.M.P., said, “It is so necessary right now because unity in this country is gone to nothing. We try to bring the people together to show the community the love of Christ.”
