Selma hosts Jemison on Friday in a contest with several implications at Memorial Stadium.
Not only is a Region 3, Class 5A playoff berth on the line, the Saints (1-7, 1-3) are also celebrating Homecoming.

In the heartbreaking 24-20 loss at Shelby County, Jason Rogers scored two touchdowns, Desmeon Carter caught a 65-yard TD pass from Samarion Woods.
Southside at Francis Marion: The Panthers (5-2) take a vacation from Region 3, Class 3A with a road game against the Rams.
Southside head coach Charles Moody Jr. is glad that the Panthers made the 3A playoffs but sees plenty of improvement to get made.
“Making the playoffs was one of our goals,” Moody said. “We are blessed to be at this point, all Glory to God.”
Derick Smith, one of the state’s top juniors, continues his amazing season, scoring five touchdowns against Greensboro.
Morgan Academy at Glenwood Academy: The Senators (1-7, 1-5) face a huge obstacle against top-ranked Glenwood (8-0).
“They’re a great team,” Senators head coach Danny Raines said. “They don’t have any weaknesses; it will be a big challenge.”
Caden Tellier, Jack Johnson and Milton Hand were the Senators’ standouts against Monroe Academy.
Bibb County at Dallas County: The Hornets (0-7, 0-5) face a huge obstacle at Martin Field in Plantersville, against the 10th ranked Choctaws.
Kodell Sharp remains one of the bright spots for Dallas County, finding ways to score in every game.
Trinity Christian at Meadowview Christian School: The Trojans (0-8) close the season at Wadsen Field.
While MCS remains winless, first-year head coach John Treherne said he saw improvement in the Choctaws as the season progressed.
Alex Johnson, Sean Jones and Trent Ballard made plays and showed leadership.
Keith has an open date. The Bears, who visit R.C. Hatch on Oct. 27, lost to Sweet Water last week. Aveon Young and Malcolm Jones connected on a touchdown. Jaquavion McElroy had an interception.
