The Delta Pi Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. closed 2023 on a strong note.
“The Black Belt Alphas had a great year,” Delta Pi Lambda Chapter member Billy Young said. “We are looking forward to 2024.”
The Black Belt Alphas held its annual Christmas lunch at Vaughan Regional Medical Center (VRMC) on Dec. 24, serving Kentucky Fried Chicken to the employees.
“Brothers Mark Neely, Edward Armstrong and Daryl Thomas kept our Annual Dinner at the Hospital tradition alive,” Young said. “These three Brothers took the time out of their Christmas Eve to make sure the doctors, nurses, and staff at the hospital had Christmas Eve Dinner.”
Mark Neely, a member of Delta Pi Lambda Chapter, said he’s honored to participate in the fraternity’s annual holiday event.
“Seeing the smiles and hearing the sentiments of these hard working women at Vaughan Regional Medical Center as we delivered a delicious KFC lunch,” Neely said. “As with public safety, which I hold close to my heart, these ladies and others are away from their families and loved ones, ensuring those in the hospital are being taken care of. We love you and thank you for your commitment and dedication.”
