Selma under boil water notice

The City of Selma has been placed under a boil water notice, Selma Mayor James Perkins Jr. announced Tuesday.
Perkins said that Selma’s Waterworks and Sewer Board is currently experiencing low water pressure and water outages due to an unidentified water loss.
Perkins advises that if any resident that has low water pressure, they should boil their water.
“There is currently no timeline on how repains will take, we ask for your patience during this process,” Perkins said.
Perkins said that city officials requested bottled water through Dallas County Emergency Management Agency DIrector Toya Stiles.
“As soons as the water is available, we will make an announcement how it can be accessed by the citizens,” Perkins said.
