Three actors who appeared in the 2021 movie “Castle Falls” had a reunion in Selma on the weekend of Feb. 10.
Selma resident Alicia Chestnut, Kevin Wayne and Eric Gray all had roles in the feature film that was released on Dec. 8, 2021. They met before the Kevin Wayne Acting Workshop held at Wallace Community College – Selma on Saturday.
Actor Dolph Lundgren, best known to audiences for his role in “Rocky 4,” directed and starred in the action film. The movie focused on rival gangs seeking out $3 million hidden inside a hospital that is about to get demolished, but a construction worker found the money first.
Chestnut, credited as Alicia Roye before eventually marrying Rep. Prince Chestnut, said she enjoyed working in the film.
“It took me coming to Alabama to get into the film,” Chestnut said. “I grew up on Dolph Lundgren movies. It was very surreal being in the movie with him. Being in the movie was humbling for me. It’s a huge achievement to have a scene by myself.”
Wayne, who had a role in the 1992 feature film “Under Siege” starring Steve Seagel, said he enjoyed working with Chestnut and Gray.
“For me, it was awesome being in ‘Castle Falls,’” Wayne said. “It was the first time that Alicia, Eric and myself got to know each other.”
Gray, who played football at the University of Alabama, said the role in “Castle Falls” was a great learning curve.
“It was my first time being in an action film.” Gray said. “It was a great chance to learn a lesson.”
