This week

• The Dallas County Board of Education will hold a special called meeting for the purpose of voting on e-Rate bids at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 26, in the boardroom at the central office.

• The Dallas County Board of Education will hold a regular school board Meeting at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, March 28, in the commissioners’ chambers in the Dallas County Courthouse.

• Langdon Suite Properties will host the third Annual Easter Pop-Up Shop on March 30 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m at 211 Dallas Ave.

• The Epiphany, an American Heart Association-funded program, will host a Health Fair on March 30 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at Tabernacle of Praise Church in Selma.

• Registration is underway for the City of Selma baseball and softball at Memorial Stadium, Monday and Friday, from 7 a.m. until 3 p.m., and Wednesday from 7 a.m. until 6 p.m. This is for the Dixie League, ages 13-17. Coaches are also needed, Registration ends April 8. For more information, call 334-375-3994.

• The Selma Charity League – Brunch, Bloom, & Bogeys is slated for April 13 from 1-3:30 p.m. at Tin Cup in Valley Grande. Tickets are $45 and include admission to the event, all food and beverages and your choice of either a custom-made bouquet or entry into the golf chipping contest. Tickets can be purchased from any active League Member.

• The Black Belt Benefit Group is planning Rockin’ Rib Off on Saturday, June 1 at 1122 Water Avenue in Selma.
