Two people were killed in a single-vehicle crash on Dallas County 45 on Saturday.

Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) identified a victim as Brandon A. Stewart, 24, of Madison. An 18-year-old passenger was also killed but not identified by ALEA.

ALEA said Stewart was driving a 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee, which left the roadway and struck a tree on Dallas County 45 near U.S. 80, about 15 miles south of Marion at 7:50 p.m. Saturday.

Stewart and the teen were both pronounced dead at the scene.

Additional passengers, Sydney D. Easterling, 19, of Houston. and another 18-year-old, were both injured and transported to an area hospital for treatment.

No further details are available as Troopers with the ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
