WCCS participates in “Don’t Drop It on Alabama Spring Cleanup”

Faculty, staff, and students at Wallace Community College Selma (WCCS) were part of the “Don’t Drop It on Alabama Spring Cleanup” event at its campus on Monday.
The event was organized with the Alabama Association of Resource Conservation and Development Councils, Inc. (Alabama RC&D Councils). The “Don’t Drop It on Alabama Spring Cleanup” event was held s at all 24 Alabama Community College System colleges, to raise awareness about the importance of keeping Alabama clean.
“The ‘Don’t Drop It on Alabama Spring Cleanup’ event exemplifies our commitment to environmental responsibility and community engagement,” WCCS president Dr. James Mitchell said. “By coming together to beautify our campus, we demonstrate our dedication to creating a clean and sustainable environment for current and future generations.”
During the event, the RC&D presented Wallace Community College Selma with a $50,000 grant to assist their efforts to participate in the cleanup.
