The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm watch until 5 a.m. Friday, May 10.

The watch includes Dallas, Perry, Lowndes, Autauga, Chilton, Greene and Marengo counties.

The main threats are for winds up to 70 mph and large hail. A tornado is also possible.
