Selma suspect surrenders to police

A Selma woman accused of murder turned herself in to police on May 10.
According to Selma Assistant Police Chief Natasha Fowlkes, Taylor Thomas, 29, surrendered to law enforcement. Thomas is charged with shooting Titus Chaney and another woman at a house in the 100 block of Alabama Avenue last month.
Thomas fled the scene, and Chaney later died from the gunshot wounds. Thomas is being held in the Hale County Jail awaiting a Judge. Jail without bond. Fowlkes said Thomas’ bond is $1 million.
