Morgan Academy’s graduation allowed Hope Holladay to continue a family tradition.
Holladay joined her parents, Richard and Whitney Holladay, who were also class valedictorians at an AISA school as Morgan Academy bid farewell to the Class of 2024 on Thursday night at Senator Stadium. Reagan Barrett was the class salutatorian.
Holladay is proud of her family’s legacy as a top student in their classes. Whitney Holladay is a graduate of Patrician Academy; Richard Holladay graduated from Lowndes Academy.
“I wouldn’t be here without my family and God guiding me through this,” Holladay said. “My parents and I were valedictorians at AISA schools.”
Holladay will attend Auburn during the fall and major in biosystems engineering.
Barrett had mixed emotions about finishing as the second student in her graduating class. She will attend Southern Miss during the fall and major in marine biology.
The rest of Morgan Academy’s Class of 2024 includes Emelia Kay Albritton, Caden Benjamin Autrey, Anna Elizabeth Brech, Tucker Michael Brooks, Davis Logan Fuller, Milton Donald Hand, Anna Grace Ingram, Claire Cooper Johnson, Moss Bailey Jones, Leila Grace Kelly, Wiley Daniel King, Spivey Andrew Massey, Mary Peyton Meeks. Margaret Elizabeth Minter, Nicholas Jay Mott, Kathrine Evelyn Patterson, Anne Frances Pearce, Taylor Marie Roberts, Elizabeth Allen Spivey, Gage Cooper Strickland, Mekhi O’ Neal Thompson, Anne Hayes Utsey, Alison Michelle Wilkinson and Rori Paige Wilkinson.
