Primary Health Solutions held its grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony on May 30.
The new primary and urgent care facility is the latest health place opened by Vaughan Regional Medical Center. The Selma-Dallas County Chamber of Commerce hosted the grand opening attended by city officials and local business leaders.
Dr. Tyler Goins will be joined by certified registered nurse practitioners J. Thad Wood and Megan Crane at Primary Health Solutions, open Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
“We’re happy to take care of the residents and be part of the community,” Goins said. “I’m not from Selma, but I’ve worked here since 2016. I’m happy to be in Selma.”
Dallas County Probate Judge Jimmy Nunn, Dallas County Commissioner Vivian Rogers, and Selma City Councilwoman Jannie Thomas attended the event. Nunn said he was pleased with another health facility opening by VRMC.
“Good things are happening in Selma,” Nunn said.
Karen Bailey, whose husband, Dr. Boyd Bailey, is a former Program Director of UAB Selma Family Medicine Residency, attended the grand opening. Karen Bailey said the opening of Primary Health Solutions is a big deal.
