Dallas County Circuit Court Clerk Lynnethia Bennett and two saxophone players highlight Saturday’s Jazz on the Grazz Festival at Phoenix Park St. James Hotel.
The 13th annual Jazz on the Grazz, created by former Selma City Councilwoman Angela Benjamin, is presented by the Coalition of Concerned Families (CCF). The singing starts at 4:45 p.m.
Bennett, a popular singer in Dallas County will be joined by Tommy “SaxLegend Friend and Deitrick Lawson & Sax Appeal. Bennett, performing as Ms. Necie, said she is always grateful to perform at Jazz on the Grazz.
“I’m so grateful anytime Angela Benjamin president of The Coalition of Concerned Families calls on me,” Bennett said. “Anytime I can use my voice to entertain, bring joy to someone’s day, bring peace to a family or even bring a crowd together to sing along with me it’s always humbling. I’m grateful for my God-given talent as i always put him first in anything that I do.”
Benjamin said she always looks forward to hearing Bennett sing.
“Ya’’ know we love local and gotta have it every year,” Benjamin posted on Social Media. “Secured her a long while ago when she crunk up the jukebox on her newest song, “I Knew.”
