The Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affairs will hold a public hearing on June 25 from 10 a.m. to noon at Wallace Community College-Selma about federal grant funds on last year’s tornado damage.
According to ADECA director Kenneth Boswell, the purpose of the meeting in the Hank Sanders building is to seek input and collect information from all interested parties on the State of Alabama’s planned uses for expanding federal grant funds that are being awarded from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) under the Community Development Block Grant- Disaster Recovery Program (CDBG-DR)
Boswell also said that the Public Hearing includes a discussion on the proposed action plan for federal grant funds, a plan summarizing tornado disaster recovery, mitigation and housing in the tornado disaster-affected areas, Autauga County, Dallas County, and the City of Selma.
If anyone has concerns, Boswell said they can contact Trent Williams at 334-353-3409 or trent.williams@adeca.alabama.gov.
