The cities of Selma, Orrville and Valley Grande came through for Dallas County residents on the Fourth of July.
We were impressed with the fireworks shows done in all three cities, filling up the night skies. Selma and Valley Grande’s shows were done the night before Independence Day. Orrville’s fireworks always fall on July 4. We came away pleased with the fireworks.
Selma brought a little extra to the Fourth of July festivities. The Queen City had a downtown Street Fair at Riverfront Park and Water Avenue that lasted a few days. A July 3 concert with July Moon and ItIs Barack at 8 p.m. at the Selma Amphitheatre. All of the activities left us pleased.
City of Selma planning and development director Danielle Wooten, Valley Grande Councilwoman Sara Day and Orrville Mayor Louvenia Lumpkin all deserve pats on the back for providing great shows for their respective citizens. High fives also go to Selma Mayor James Perkins Jr. and Valley Grande Mayor Wayne Labbe for their approval.
We’re anxious to see what Selma, Valley Grande and Orrville will do next for its residents.
