Former interim Selma Fire Chief arrested Friday

Former interim Selma Fire Chief Franklin Edwards was arrested on Friday and charged with first-degree theft of property, according to the Alabama State Fire Marshal Office.
Edwards was taken into custody by Alabama State Fire Marshal’s Deputies with assistance from the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office.
Edwards will be held at the Perry County Detention Center, pending a bond hearing.
