Foot Soldiers Park’s annual Candy Walk will be happening on Saturday, Oct. 5, from 2-5 p.m. at the Future Home of Foot Soldiers Park (1705 Selma Ave.).
This year, they’re bringing back the vibrant energy of the 90s, inspired by In Living Color.
The Candy Walk is a cherished tradition in Selma. It provides a safe, family-friendly environment for our youth to celebrate the Fall season. It’s also a fantastic opportunity for local businesses like yours to connect with families and showcase their services.
Businesses are invited to set up a table at the event, where you can distribute candy and promote your business. Feel free to get creative with our 90s theme by decorating your table and dressing up. In addition to candy and costumes, we’ve planned a variety of exciting activities, including:
- Nonviolence Pledge: In honor of the International Day of Nonviolence on October 2nd, we’ll host a series of creative and interactive activities that allow participants to reflect on and express their commitment to nonviolence
- Friendship Bracelet Making: A fun 90s-themed activity for kids to create their own friendship bracelets.
- Bounce Houses: Offering a safe and enjoyable play area for children.
- Live Entertainment: Featuring music, contests, and performances throughout the event.
- 90s Costume Contest: Show off your best 90s-themed outfit for a chance to win prizes.
- Best Decorated Table Contest: Compete for prizes by showcasing your 90s-inspired table decorations.
If you can’t attend in person, they’d still greatly appreciate your support through candy or door prize donations.
