The Christian Outreach Alliance Food Pantry will hold its Stock the Shelves Community Food and Fund Drive this Friday, Oct. 25, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

COA is asking residents to donate food items or make monetary contributions to the organization to help the hungry residents of Selma and Dallas County. Donations will be received at 700 J.L. Chestnut Blvd., which is located at the intersection of Mabry Street.

“This event is crucial as it is the only drive the Christian Outreach Alliance Food Pantry holds,” the group said in a social media post. “Your support is greatly needed, whether through donating food items or making a monetary contribution. Volunteers will be present on-site to collect donations from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and you won’t even have to leave your vehicle.”

For those unable to stop by and make a donation this Friday, you can mail checks or money orders to P. O. Box 2141, Selma, AL 36702.

“Every contribution, no matter the size, makes a significant impact in helping to feed the hungry of Dallas County,” the continued in the post. “Thank you in advance for your generosity and support.”
