Monday morning, a building near the railroad crossing, located on Broad Street caught fire.

As of 10 a.m. Monday, there were no active updates on what caused the infrastructure to catch fire but authorities say, the duration of time to get the fire out and the roadway cleared is about three hours.

However, several members of the Selma Fire Department were actively trying to put out the fire, despite the flames rigorous effort to rekindle.
