George Wesley Dykes of LaFayette passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, Dec. 25, 2024, at the age of 82. He was born in Safford. A memorial service will be held Saturday, Jan. 11, 2025, at 11 a.m. at the Safford Baptist Church, 285 Dallas County Road, Safford, AL 36773. The Rev. John Sparks officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations to the National Wild Turkey Federation (NWTF) in George’s memory. Jeff Jones Funeral Home, LaFayette, directing.
