Eva Sewell Kennedy Stevenson, born in Chilton County, Alabama, daughter of the late George Chester Sewell and Ella Eunice Green Sewell. She worked for the Air Force in Texas, NASA in Houston, Texas and retired as an executive assistant from Dixie-Narco, Williston, SC. She was  a certified professional secretary, president of the SC Professional Secretaries International and in the late 1980s was recipient of the SC Secretary of the Year Award.

Survivors include her husband, Lewis F. “Steve” Stevenson of the home; a daughter, Karen Kennedy Terry; grandchildren, Sara Terry and David Terry; sister, Joyce and Norman Harris; brother, Ned and Bennie Sewell; sister-in-law, Mable Sewell. She was preceded in death by a brother, Oliver Sewell.
