Betty B. Nichols, age 76, died June 16, 2011 with a short battle of cancer. Visitation will be Monday, June 20th from 12:00 – 2:00 PM at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home with a funeral service following at 2:00PM. Burial will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens. Her long time friend and neighbor Charles Tuggle will be officiating. The Daily Bread – Savannah, Houton & Madison Daily of Remlap, AL will be singing. Betty was born March 7, 1935 in Florence, AL and then moved to Selma, AL where she grew up and met her loving husband Nick and moved to Birmingham, AL. Betty owned and operated a pizza business for 37 years. She is preceded in death by her parents, Marion W. Bevis & Lawrence (Buddy) Bevis. She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, J.M. (Nick) Nichols; two children – son, Alan B. Nichols (Pam) of Clay, AL, and daughter, Laurie L. McLain (Denny) of Mexico Beach, Fl; two grandchildren, Taylor (Nicki) Nichols (Chris) and Audrey Renea Nichols; one great-grandchild, Christian Grace. Betty was loved by so many people in her lifetime that it would be hard to count them all. She will be truly missed by all. She loved Jesus and followed his example in the way she lived.
