Thursday is the last day to apply for an absentee ballot to vote in the July 5 election for Selma’s Ward 3 councilperson.
“There have been quite a few people to take advantage of the absentee voting option,” Selma city clerk Ivy Harrison said.
Absentee voting has been in progress since June 7.
Interested people can come to the office of the city clerk at Selma City Hall Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. “as long as they are registered and qualified to vote,” Harrison said.
Absentee voting can be a good option for those who will be out of town, but is an option for anyone who wants to take advantage of it.
