Going beyond classroom walls

It is probably fair to say that a solid education is as much about a child&8217;s experiences outside the classroom as those inside one.
For example, students from Clark Elementary recently released butterflies at Bloch Park. NASA will soon send the signatures of students from Knox Elementary students into outer space.
It is one thing to tell children about the life cycles of animals and the great wonders of things around our universe, but to let them be part of those processes brings about completely new possibilities.
If children can see things unfolding, they can visualize ways to be part of them.
That is the beginning of dreams, and dreams are the seeds of a better world.
It is truly commendable that anyone would give students the chance to see firsthand the things
they have read about in books.
