Birmingham Police announced Monday they had arrested Danny Harvey, 34, in connection with the shooting death of Marion resident Marcus Evans.

According to a release from the Birmingham departrment, Harvey, who is from Birmingham, has been charged in the July 14 shooting that took place about 3 p.m. in Ensley.

The victim has been identified as 28-year-old Marcus Evans of Marion.

Harvey is currently being held in the Jefferson County Jail under a murder warrant with a $75,000 bond.

The Birmingham Police Department Crime Reduction Team (CRT) members took the suspect into custody on July 14, in the 1700 block of Princeton Avenue Southwest in Birmingham.
