Just like the number on the back of her jersey, Greensboro third baseman Sherrica Dudley was double trouble for the Selma softball team.

Dudley belted two home runs to the exact same spot in left center – one in the third and another in the fifth – and helped Greensboro take an 11-3 win Tuesday.

Selma was leading 2-1 after the second when Danielle Jones and Thamira Kashat scored on a wild pitch.

Then Dudley stepped up to the plate with one out and two runners on in the next inning. Her shot put the Raiders ahead 4-2 and signaled the last time Selma would hold a lead in the ball game.

A Selma error at second loaded the bases in the fifth, and Arrie Matthews hit an infield RBI single to put Greensboro ahead 7-2. Chelsea Sturdivant issued Walks to Markeshia Grant and Anna Ruth Randall to increase Greensboro’s lead to seven runs.

Sturdivant took the loss after pitching all seven innings.

Savanna Osmer pitched a complete game for the win and also drove in a run on a ground out in the top of the first.

Selma’s final run came in the fifth when a passed ball allowed Mercedes King to score from third base.
