DALLAS COUNTY DECLARED DISASTER AREA BY SMALL BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION

Alabama residents and businesses affected by the severe storms and tornadoes last week will have access to low-interest disaster loans from the U.S. Small Business Administration.
Gov. Bob Riley requested the declaration on Monday. The declaration covers Chilton, Dallas, Elmore, Lowndes and Montgomery counties.
Residents are eligible for loans up to $40,000 to repair or replace damaged or destroyed personal property. Loans up to $200,000 are available to homeowners to repair or replace damaged or destroyed real estate.

Monday, Feb. 25 through Friday, Feb 29; 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Saturday, March 1 (one Saturday only) 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Monday, March 3 through Thursday, March 6; 9 a.m. to 5:30 a.m.
Center closes
on Thursday, March 6, 2008, at the close of business
