James Elgin House

James Elgin House, 76, died Saturday, Aug. 6, 2011, at his home after a sudden illness. He was born Oct. 29, 1934, to Joe and Myrtle House in Montgomery, AL. He was raised in Selma. He was a Baptist and retired carpenter. He enjoyed working in the yard, fishing and playing with his grandchildren.
Services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Lee Memorial Chapel with Bro. Steven Denton officiating. Burial was in Lee Memorial Park,Veron, MS. Lee Memorial Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include his wife, Dale Long House; five daughters, Ann Dangler, Betty Goddard, Cindy Holbrook, Tina Roberson and Kayla Wilson; four sons, James Earl House, Terry House, Randy Kynard and James House; five sisters, Mary Jo Losse, Christine Anderson, Ruby Teel, Edna Jean House and Patsy Sims; and one brother, Jerry House.
He is preceded in death by his parents; one grandson; and one sister, Myrtle Olivia Lawrence.
Pallbearers were James House, Lamar Long, Brandon Edwards, David Long, Curtis Roberson and Tommy Long.
