MARION JUNCTION — A mobile home fire here has claimed the lives of five people.

Authorities have not yet notified the next of kin, so are unable to identify the five dead found in the structure on County Road 188.

Dallas County Sheriff Harris Huffman said the bodies of a man, woman and three children, ages 3, 6 and 7, were sent to the state forensics lab.

“All indications were it was an accident,” the sheriff said. “We are continuing to investigate.”

Huffman said a neighbor noticed the fire and called 911 shortly after midnight. Volunteer firefighters and deputies responded.
