Mr. Arthur Boyd Barron

The funeral of Mr. Arthur Boyd Barron, 73, will be 11 a.m. today from Lee & Rollins Funeral Chapel in Marion.

The Rev. O.L. Sanders will officiate. Burial will follow in Marion City Cemetery under the direction of Lee & Rollins Funeral Home.

Shelton Sr.

Mr. George A. Shelton Sr., 57, of Selma died Saturday, Nov. 24, 2007, at Vaughan Regional Medical Center.

Services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday at the Providence Baptist Church with Pastor Purifoy officiating. Burial will be in Zion No. 1 M.P. Church Cemetery directed by Walker Mortuary.

Survivors include his wife, Mary; four sons, Michael Shelton (Teresa), George Shelton Jr. (Mareka), Christopher Shelton Sr. (Patricia) and Demario Shelton (Ashley), all of Selma; a daughter, Sonya Shelton (James) of Selma; two brothers, Mac Arthur Shelton (Katie) of St. Petersburgh, Fla.; Lula Fisher of Elizabeth, N.J.; Betty Brown of Ontario, Calif.; Catherine Norris (Frank) of Pamona, Calif. and Patricia Shelton of Las Vegas; 11 grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews, including a special niece, Sadie Watts (James).

Active pallbearers will be Michael Shelton, George Shelton Jr., Christopher Shelton Sr.

Honorary pallbearers will be Sammie Shelton Jr. and James Hearnes.

The funeral of Mr. Arthur Russell Jr., 73, will be 1 p.m., Saturday, from the Healing Spring Baptist Church, Marion.

The Rev. O.C. Dobyne pastor and the Rev. James Ward will officiate. Burial will follow in the Greenleaf Cemetery under the direction of Lee & Rollins Funeral Home.
