The Cats took the opening kickoff and drove in for a score.

Phillip Lyon took the ball in from 10 yards out. The point-after kick was wide, and Wilcox was up 6-0 with 8:21 to play in the first quarter.

EMCA was unable to do much on its first possession.

After a sputtering stop short of midfield, the team fumbled and the Wildcats took full advantage.

The Cats hammered their way closer to the goal, and Drew Bozeman took the ball in from seven yards out for another Wilcox score. Jason Ray made good on the two-point attempt, and with 3:57 on the first-quarter clock Wilcox Academy was enjoying a 14-0 lead.

At the 5:19 mark of the second quarter, Bozeman drove eight yards for the Wildcats&8217; scoring his third touchdown of the night. Wilcox had a 21-7 advantage at that point.

EMCA refused to call it quits, working its way to a first-and-goal on the Wilcox three-yard line. On fourth-and-goal from the 2-yard stripe, EMCA crashed through the Wildcat defense to get on the scoreboard with 26 seconds remaining on the clock before halftime.

The Cats came out for the second half hungry for the win. Jason Ray scored on an 18-yard run to put Wilcox Academy up 27-7 with 9:42 left on the third.

Six minutes later, Will quarterback Will Albritton kept the ball himself and took it in form 10 yards out for another Wilcox score, putting his team up 34-7.

Scott Alford was sent in to quarterback the Wildcats for the final quarter and showed some potential against a stiffening EMCA defense.
