Regions one-run better

Brown Drug jumped out to an early 3-1 lead after one inning of play.
But with the game knotted at 4-4, the Regions Bank team proved to be one run better, pushing the winning run across the dish to secure a narrow, 5-4 win in 11-12 year old baseball action on Tuesday night at the Selma Softball Complex.
The Brown Drug squad, led by Quintravis Johnson, D.J. Woods and Tyler Jones, nursed a 3-1 lead over the course of an inning and a half.
In the bottom half of the second inning, Regions rallied back to tie the game with a pair of runs.
Rodney Ellis, Roderick Bean and Anfernee Simpson led the Regions’ charge.
Regions rallied in the bottom half of the fourth inning to take a narrow, 4-3 lead.
Brown Drug tied the game at 4-4 in the top of the sixth inning.
Regions, however, notched the victory in the bottom half of the sixth inning to secure the 5-4 victory.
