Vera Lee Dial-Surles, age 74, or Selma, died Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2011 at Vaughan Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services will be Saturday, Dec. 3, 2011 at noon at New Liberty Baptist Church with Larry Blakes officiating. Burial will be at Pineview directed by Miller Funeral Services.

Survivors include her husband, Arthur Surles, Sr.; sons, Gary Surles, of Fort Wayne, Ind., and Demunta Bennett, of Atlanta; daughters, Elizabeth Thomas, Sophonia Surles, Latonya (Earl) Bender, Sherronda (Jessie) Wilson and Tina Bennett of Montgomery; brother Nelson Dial, Jr. of Selma; sisters, Sarah (Dial) Jenkins, Creola Dial, Annie Lee Harris, Annie Mae Jones, all proceeded her in death; 18 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, two sons-in-law, one daughter-in-law, one brother-in-law, three sisters-in-law and a host of nieces and nephews.
